Health and Fitness
Exercise is important for everyone, but for people living with Parkinson's disease, it is essential to maintain balance, mobility and daily living activities. The Hawai'i Parkinson Association strongly recommends participating in daily exercise routines as research indicates that regular exercise reduces symptoms associated with Parkinson's disease, as well as helps individuals gain strength, cardio vascular health, mind-body awareness and improves balance. Through physical therapy, fitness and wellness routines, individuals living with Parkinson's may be able to maintain more mobile and healthier lifestyles.
